Plant of the Week: Blue Mystique Orchids |

The Blue Mystique blue orchid is not painted, and it's not hybridized. It is the result of a patented process that infuses white orchids with a special medium. This technique has been perfected after many years of research and testing, using naturally derived elements and remaining environmentally conscious.
Buds on the Blue Mystique orchid’s current stem will open to flowers in a beautiful, lighter shade of blue. A new stem will probably bring white flowers, though it is too early to know for sure. It is assumed they will be white because Phalaenopsis orchids have a very strong natural "filtering system" that protects them in the wild.
Orchids need plenty of clean air, moisture and low to medium light. Do not let the soil dry out—evenly moist is the ideal state. Water should not be dripping from the bottoma nd it should not be sitting in an enclosed container (or saucer) holding water. The holes in the bottom of the pot are there for exactly that reason—good drainage.
