“Hens and Chicks” is just one variety of Sempervivum, plants that are composed of tufted leaves that form in grey, silver, green, rose, burgundy, or olive rosettes in many shapes and textures. They spread quickly and are often used as ground cover in dry, mostly sunny locations, but need protection from extreme sun exposure. They are frost resistant.
