Expert Advice

gold_medalIntroduced to American gardens in 1983, 'Gold Medal' Grandiflora rose bears its medium-size, 3.5 to 4.5-inch wide, fully double blossoms singly or in clusters against a backdrop of large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage. Each flower, held on a 15-inch cutting stem and scented hauntingly of Tea Rose and spice, opens from a long, pointed bud into a blossom containing 35 to 40 petals of deep gold edged in pale orange-red. Superbly hardy. Go for the gold!
