Expert Advice

oklahomaA classic Hybrid Tea introduced in 1964, 'Oklahoma' — like 'Mister Lincoln' and 'John F. Kennedy' from the same period  — combines classic tea rose form with rich color and powerful fragrance.

We wish we had a better photo to show you, because one glimpse of this exquisite, hard-to-find red rose in bloom will make you wish to sing, "O-o-o-o-oklahoma /Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain...!" Each medium-size bush bears a wealth of dark, leathery green leaves and long, pointed to oval, nearly black buds which open to rich dark red, 4 to 5.5-inch wide blossoms held at the ends of long cutting stems. And best of all, each gorgeous flower is saturated in a breathtaking deep "red rose" perfume.
