Expert Advice

purple_tigerAre we ever excited about this rose! A hard-to-find Floribunda originally introduced in 1991, 'Purple Tiger' makes a 4 foot tall bush with matte green foliage and eye-popping, 4-inch wide, fully double blossoms of rich boysenberry-purple vividly striped in pinkish-white. Substantial 14 to 16-inch cutting stems and a pronounced ripe-currant fragrance make 'Purple Tiger' a flower arranger's dream! A stunning partner in the flower garden for white lilacs and such scented white roses as 'Pope John Paul II' and 'John F. Kennedy.' As with all purple roses, in Santa Fe's climate, T. J. recommends that you give 'Purple Tiger' a bit of afternoon shade for best color and petal integrity.
