Nicknamed “dill weed,” the aromatic, flavorful fern-like leaves of this plant are used fresh or dried in salads, sauces and fish dishes. Of course, its seed is also used in pickling.

Plant in full sun with at least six hours of sun a day. Water as needed all season to keep soil evenly moist. Feed with a vegetable fertilizer.
